Four Create Print strengthens hand with HP Indigo

Four Create Print, a specialist in campaign led 2D POS, visual merchandising and print service solutions for trade customers, has added small format digital.

Four Create Print has installed an HP Indigo 7900 to ensure that it can continue to develop and enhance the sorts of innovative product and service delivery approaches that are appreciated by trade customers, giving it the production strength to deliver what is needed. The HP Indigo 7900, which will run alongside its large format inkjet machines at its factory in Warwick.

Four Create Print is part of the Swanline group and this is the first Indigo purchased by the company. Swanline and HP are strategic partners and Swanline was the UK’s first company to have the HP FB11000 installed five years ago. More recently a Latex 3200 has been installed at Four Create Print.

Now the Indigo will give the business the capability to produce small format work in-house. “We want our customers to think of us a one stop shop. Nowadays more and more customers want to deal with one supplier, so being able to buy large and small format print from us is strategically important,” says managing director Matt Ward.

Four Create Print aims to differentiate itself by focusing on service delivery and making life easier for the customer. “Our customers want suppliers who can take the hassle out of their jobs, they want to be able to supply artwork and two or three days later receive their print. They want regular updates on progress but ultimately they just want their job, they don’t want to be bogged down with issues, so our job is to solve any issues with creative solutions and supply a high quality job,” says Ward.

“Key for us is developing relationships with our clients and making it easy for them to deal with us. While we work hard we also have a lot of fun along the way, and this is reflected in the way we communicate internally and externally. After all, communication with personality makes for a much better working relationship. We understand the levels of service required and our approach is to offer this. The team at Four Create Print is tasked with delivering service excellence and developing strong relationships with our customers.

“Purchasing the Indigo was all about ensuring we have the capability to offer our customers the service and products they are asking for. It delivers the quality and has the name that holds a lot of prestige in the market.”

The team visited the HP demo centre in Barcelona to put the Indigo 7900 through its paces before making the commitment to the press. “It was the perfect fit,” Ward adds. The press is fully loaded and includes the ability to print additional spot colours, includes neon and metallics and has the heavy substrate option to enable it to print on carton boards and plastics. “And we have found that even with the SRA3 format we can take on jobs that would traditionally be B2 litho work,” he says.

To go with the press, Four Create Print has already installed a guillotine, die cutter and creaser; a laminator and booklet maker will follow. The company will also be looking the leverage the capabilities of the Indigo 7900 with new substrates, to offer customers a greater choice of materials. This again is an example of the continued focus and investment the company has on innovating for its customers.

He adds: “The Indigo enables us to offer customers an even wider range of products, and be their strategic partner for anything requiring print, the possibilities are endless. It is a very exciting time for Four Create Print.”
